A mission to Jupiter's depths
Juno is a NASA spacecraft orbiting Jupiter to probe beneath its colorful clouds. Its goal is to understand the planet's internal structure, atmosphere, and origins.
A polar perspective
Juno follows an elongated orbit that carries it over Jupiter's poles, giving a vantage point earlier missions did not have and revealing clusters of cyclones swirling at the poles.
Measuring the giant
By precisely measuring Jupiter's gravity and magnetic field, Juno helps scientists map the planet's deep interior and learn how giant planets form.
